Tucked along Portugal’s Alentejo coast, the retreat takes place on a charming 275-acre farmhouse near the fishing village of Zambujeira do Mar. The landscape stretches between rolling fields and the wild Atlantic, with the property located just a ten-minute drive from the coast. Praia do Cavaleiro is one of the area’s hidden gems — an untouched beach perfect for swimming, hiking, or sunbathing — with world-class trails along the famed Costa Vicentina. Originally from Brazil and now based in London, Luiz Madalena is a yoga teacher and holistic coach known for his high-energy classes that blend strength, rhythm, and release.
Trained in the 4Beat method under its founder Marcus Veda, he’s part of the movement transforming London’s yoga scene — where breath, movement, and music flow in a four-count rhythm that feels both electric and mindful. His sessions balance powerful dynamic practice with restorative stillness, creating space to build strength and explore inversions, while having fun with flow and music.
