A retreat rooted in togetherness, play, and the simple joy of time spent as a family. Across Sterrekopje’s regenerative farm, children are given the freedom to explore, create and connect with nature, while parents are equally held with space to soften and receive. Time together is woven through animal feeding, pottery, baking, garden games, yoga and other playful experiences, creating beautiful memories amidst the farm. Alongside these shared moments are pockets of rest and care for adults, with space for children to adventure across the farm while parents experience the Healing Farm's restorative Rituals and Rhythms. The Destination

Franschhoek lies at the heart of South Africa’s Cape Winelands, surrounded by dramatic mountains, vineyards, and fertile farmland. Just outside the historic town, Sterrekopje Healing Farm unfolds across 50 hectares of biodiverse land cradled by the Franschhoek mountains, with productive gardens, natural swimming ponds, olive groves, orchards, beehives, and farm animals shaping the rhythms of daily life. The landscape is integral to the experience, from ingredients harvested for the kitchen to herbs used in remedies and rituals, creating a deep connection between the land and holistic wellbeing.

The Retreat Host

Sterrekopje Healing Farm was created by founders Nicole and Fleur as an expression of their shared commitment to regenerative living, nature, nourishment, creativity, and a more conscious way of life. Their vision was to create something beyond a traditional hotel or wellness retreat: a home and sanctuary where guests can slow down, reconnect with the body, and experience a simpler, more abundant rhythm of living.

Each stay is held by Sterrekopje’s close-knit team of holistic practitioners, chefs, hosts, and sanctuary stewards. Daily treatments and seasonal activities are carefully curated around the individual guest, while life on the farm naturally guides the experience — from movement and meditation to creative workshops, gardening, harvesting, and shared nourishment.

Across the farm, just 11 individually designed sanctuaries create an intimate sense of seclusion. Each is conceived as a calming retreat of its own, bringing together handcrafted furniture, elaborate murals, collected antiques, and fine soft furnishings. Generous living spaces, freestanding baths, fireplaces, and private terraces invite slow moments between daily rituals, while views open onto the farmland and mountains beyond.
