Where the Chobe River winds through vast open plains and elephants gather in their hundreds, this retreat unfolds in Botswana’s wild heart — a meeting point of yoga and untamed wilderness. Days flow between energising practice beneath wide African skies and grounding meditation that attunes awareness to the sounds, stillness, and beauty of nature. Balanced with river safaris and sunset game drives through the savannah, the experience cultivates awe and a deep sense of connection to the land.

The Destination
This journey begins at Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Two nights at Insika Lodge — a boutique retreat hotel surrounded by lush gardens — offer the chance to experience the falls in their full power and to practice yoga at sunrise while drifting along the Zambezi. From there, the path leads into Botswana’s wilderness.
Set in Kavimba, Munga Plains is surrounded by sweeping savannah, just 23 kilometers from Chobe National Park. Here, game drives reveal four of the legendary Big Five — elephants, lions, leopards, and buffalo — alongside antelope, giraffes, and extraordinary birdlife, moving through an untouched and unspoiled landscape.
