Set near the laid-back surf town of Ahangama on Sri Lanka’s south coast, this retreat unfolds between jungle, paddy fields, and golden beaches. Twice-daily yoga practices blend dynamic and restorative styles, with optional workshops exploring inversions, arm balances, and backbends. Between practices, freshly prepared vegetarian meals using local ingredients and regional flavours support steady nourishment throughout the day. The retreat is enriched by experiences that reflect the spirit of the region: a sunset boat safari through the mangroves of Koggala Lake, a Sri Lankan cooking class, trips to a tea plantation and Galle Fort, alongside freedom to explore the coastline, try surfing, or visit a local turtle hatchery.

Spread across two stories, it blends open, grounding design with natural beauty, featuring a yoga shala that overlooks the fields and a pool that invites rest between practices. Just a short distance away lies Ahangama, a laid-back surf town where golden beaches meet coconut groves, cafés, and a vibrant yet unhurried rhythm of life.

The Retreat Host
Ashley Ahrens is a London-based yoga teacher, nutritional therapist, and sleep specialist, whose been guiding retreats all over the world for years. With over 1,000 hours of yoga trainings and workshops, her training weaves together classical lineages rooted in India with modern approaches to movement, meditation, and nervous-system awareness.
Known for her dynamic classes, Ashley's practices encourage exploration, while remaining accessible to all levels. Her teaching blends the grounding discipline of Ashtanga with the playfulness and experimentation of Rocket, creating sessions that are challenging yet light-hearted. Breath sits at the heart of her work. Through movement in synchronicity with pranayama, Ashley guides students toward a deeper connection with the body and an inward sense of presence.
